Over 200,000 people visit the Tank Museum every year where we bring the history of tanks and tank crew to life. This is a fabulous opportunity to work for Dorset’s number one indoor tourist attraction, as the Visitor Services Manager, where you will also be responsible for managing admissions and front of house. Our retail shop and admissions plays a critical role to the ongoing success of the Museum turning over £3.2 million in sales each year. As the Visitor Services Manager you will be focused on maximising sales, increasing profits and promoting a great customer experience. You will inspire your team, leading and developing them to achieve outstanding results through your experience and passion.
Your will need experience of managing a large team in a fast moving retail environment. You’ll be commercially aware with a proven track record of control of overheads and increasing sales, with a strong focus on improving the visitor experience. You will have excellent people management and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support the development of the team. A high degree of professionalism and a proactive approach to increasing revenue and solving problems.
