Public Convenience caretaker (2x Part time staff required)

Salary: SCP 10, £8.11 per hour (pay award pending) plus, paid holidays, contributory pension scheme and car parking permit for Howards Lane Car park.

Both part time staff to work an average of 14 hours per week on a rota covering 7 days with flexibility to work additional hours when required. Toilets to be unlocked daily at 07.00 hrs and locked at 19.00 hrs except 1 May – 31st August when locked at 22.00 hrs.
Wareham is a Saxon town with a population of approximately 5,500. It is a small, market town, popular with tourists and the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast. Wareham Town Council own and manage two popular and well used public conveniences located adjacent to Howards Lane Carpark and at the Quay.
Both positions are part time to cover a total of 24 hours per week over 7 days, including bank holidays on a rota. The successful candidate will preferably be residing within easy distance of the place of work as it involves opening and closing the public conveniences daily and ensuring that they are maintained in a clean and well stocked condition.
Candidates must have proven experience of cleaning and caretaking duties and must be prepared to maintain high standards of cleanliness and care. You will work as part of a small team but will be primarily working alone to undertake your duties.
