Teaching Assistant

Swanage Primary

Swanage Primary is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS2. Experience of supporting children with additional needs, enabling them to thrive is preferred, however we always provide advice and support from the class teacher, SENCO and outside support agencies. Our induction is fully supportive and if further training is required this will be available.

The successful candidates will be working alongside the child, offering one-to-one support in class and playtimes. The hours at present are mornings only 17.5 hours a week, mornings only. The successful applicants be directed by the class teacher and work closely with the classroom teaching assisstant. This post will commence as soon as possible after the interview date, subject to a successful DBS. Applicants are warmly invited to look around the school. You will

• Have experience of working with children in an educational setting

• Be good at building excellent relationships with children, parents and staff

• Work well under direction from others

• Be prepared to liaise with other professionals and learn from their advice.

This post offers a fixed-term contract to support a named child and will continue only as long as the child attends the school or their needs change significantly.
