We are a fast expanding CQC Registered Domiciliary Care business, with clients needing support on a waiting list.
We are looking for Kind and Caring individuals to join our supportive team of Carers who provide assistance to individuals living in the Purbecks, predominantly Swanage, Langton Matravers, Harmans Cross, Corfe Castle and also Wareham, to remain living independently in their own homes.
We have a variety of contracts and shift patterns available to fit around your own lifestyle, either part time, full time or as and when.
We have care visits throughout most of the day between 7.30am and 10pm with the greatest need for support between 7.30am and 10am and between 4pm and 10pm
The role involves a variety of tasks including:
- Assisting Clients to get washed and dress
- Assisting Clients to use the toilet
- Assisting Clients to transfer from Bed to comfy chair / commode and back again etc
- Preparing food and drink and assisting clients to eat and drink if required
- Assisting with Laundry and Ironing
- Assisting Clients to keep their homes clean and tidy
- Assisting Clients to take their prescribed medications
- Collecting medications from a pharmacy on Client's behalf
- Companionship
- Assistance with shopping
Experience of providing care in a professional capacity, including the use of hoists and slings, personal care, catheter care and food preparation, would be an advantage, but is not compulsory as full on the job and e-learning training will be provided to candidates with a suitable attitude and personality that meets the needs of the role.
Ideally you should be a driver with your own car, for which business insurance is required, as some of our clients live several miles apart. We do however have walkable rounds in Swanage, for this the candidate would need to be fairly physically fit as there are several hills!
