Norden farm shop is looking for someone to join our close working friendly team with an ‘everyone muck in’ and ‘can do’ attitude.

Duties will include:

Opening in the mornings: you will be taking in our fresh produce such as milk and cheese and date checking/rotating stock accordingly.

Stocking up our shelves, ensuring they are faced and presentable to our customers

Keeping things tidy; We want to see initiative when it comes to keeping the store clean and orderly.

Working on the tills, handling money and an element of stock control. No previous experience is required since we will be training you on our Epos till system.

You will be working around customers so will need to have a friendly approachable attitude and great customer service is a must.

End of day procedures; from closing the garden barn to sweeping the store, the end of day needs to be swift and smooth, creating a clean and calm environment for the next working day.

Please note, this job requires the loading of heavy items such as compost/animal feed (up to 25kg) into customer vehicles. This is a physically demanding aspect of the job, as well as being on your feet and working around a busy site. Please take this into consideration when applying.

Hours per week will vary between 20-30 hours depending on the time of year. Generally, you will be working 2-3 days. You will be required to work one weekend day, including bank holidays.

Retail experience is preferred but not essential as all training will be given.
