Lovell Stone Group Ltd is a family run business that operates 6 quarries throughout the South West and is passionate about the quarrying and processing of British Stone products. We require an office assistant to join the team at our head office in Purbeck, Dorset.

The role:

The office assistant plays a key role in supporting the sales team and in providing excellent customer service. You must be able to thrive under pressure in a busy environment and deal with conflicting priorities in a professional and effective manner. The role is part time, Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm, office based and reports directly to the Sales Office Manager. You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and have a high degree of self-motivation.

Duties of office assistant :

  • Answering the phone, transferring calls on to relevant people and taking messages.
  • Assisting with walk in customers and delivery / collection drivers.
  • Supporting in the management of delivery logistics for the different sites.
  • Supporting the sales team and customers during the sales process.
  • Responding to customer enquiries.
  • Processing of Pro-forma Invoices and Order Acknowledgements.
  • Building good customer relations.
  • Packaging and sending of stone samples to customers and designers

Requirements for the role:

  • Excellent telephone manner and good communication skills
  • Capacity to work in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft outlook, word and excel.
