We are welcoming applications for the role of Driver Awareness Scheme Tutor with Dorset Police based at the following location(s): Police Headquarters, Winfrith, Dorset
Salary: Scale E - Starts at £30,333 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £34,662 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.
Type of employment: Permanent
Type of working arrangement: Static-Worker - A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment.
Hours per week: this role is 37 and 20 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
Allowances: This role attracts no allowances.

We are a friendly team, searching for a positive individual who’s passionate about road safety.
The team delivers educational input sessions online from our Winfrith base and in-person in Wimborne and Weymouth.
We are proud of our unique training course that gets drivers thinking about road safety in a relaxed, engaging way.
The team are a mix of ex-driving instructors, teachers, social workers, police officers and more.

Please note. There are two vacancies, one full time at 37 hours per week and one part-time at 20 hours per week. The salary for the part-time role starts at £16,396 per annum rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £18,736.
There is a requirement to work until 7pm one day per week, there will be a later start time on this day. Additionally, there may be the option to work overtime on select Saturday’s when required.
