Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Quarry Operative / Stone Processor to join our team at Downs Quarry, Langton Matravers.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
• Total: 40 hours per week

Pay

• Starting hourly rate: £12.71
• Pay review following successful completion of probation
• Overtime available at time and a half

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is the processing of natural stone, including guillotining stone for a variety of applications. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role working in an outdoor quarry environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Guillotining and processing natural stone products
• Operating mobile plant machinery (training provided where required)
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties across the site
• Assisting with basic maintenance of plant and equipment
• Following instructions and working efficiently within a team
• Adhering strictly to all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Commitment to health and safety standards
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
